INSTRUCTOR TRAINING WORKSHOP (ITW)

Become an Accredited Instructor of two of the World’s most comprehensive & proven Communications Skills programs based on the work of Dr Thomas Gordon; Parent Effectiveness Training and Effectiveness Training (also known as Personal Empowerment).

THE PROGRAMS

PARENT EFFECTIVENESS PROGRAM (P.E.T.) offers program offering parent’s specific communication and conflict resolutions skills to build and maintain an effective relationship with a child, in any and all circumstances.

PERSONAL EMPOWERMENT teaches individuals how to more effective, assertive and take responsibility for getting your needs met in both their personal and professional lives. This powerful program can be also be delivered in the workplace.

INSTRUCTOR TRAINING WORKSHOP (ITW)
Becoming a P.E.T. or a Personal Empowerment Instructor is a 3-step process:

  • STEP 1 - Complete a P.E.T. or Personal Empowerment program
  • STEP 2 - Successfully complete an Instructor Training Workshop - see dates below
  • STEP 3 - Teach a qualifying P.E.T. or Personal Empowerment program and submit the participant evaluations for review, final approval and instructor certification.

WHAT IS TAUGHT?
This is a Instructor Training Workshop dual program because it provides an opportunity to be trained in either P.E.T. or Personal Empowerment. During this training program, you will choose one of these two programs as your "major". This will be the program on which you will concentrate and on which you will conduct your practice teaching.

The training is based on a "learning-by-doing" model. It combines instruction in the core content and skills with exercises providing practice in dealing with group dynamics and the process of teaching and facilitating.
